Abbo's Alley (Univ. of the South)
Take a stroll in Abbo's Alley, an easy-to-walk and carefully tended ravine garden. The flora is a combination of cultivated and indigenous trees, shrubs and plants with the emphasis on keeping the natural flow of the land.
COALMONT
Coalmont OHV Park
This new off-road park will offer over 1,300 acres of off-road trails with varied wooded terrain for all vehicle types and skill levels. A large unloading area, vehicle wash station, parking lot, restrooms, picnic area and primitive camping will be available on-site. RV sites with 5/30 amp and 16/50 amp service will also be on-site, with water and available dump station. The park’s anticipated opening will be in the fall of 2022. Please check back for updates!

Mountain Goat Trail
Old coal railroad route converted to a rail-trail, a bike and running path open to the public. From 1856 to 1985, the Mountain Goat Railroad carried coal and passengers over the Cumberland Plateau. It was called the Mountain Goat because the climb onto the Plateau was one of the steepest railroad ascents in the world.

The Suter Farm has been in the Suter family since 1885, part of the original settlement of the Swiss Colony of Gruetli. It retains many of the original out-buildings and the farm house which was rebuilt in 1885.

War Memorial Cross
A scenic overlook and favorite picnic spot, located on the west bluff of the Sewanee domain. The 60-foot cross is a memorial to all Sewanee citizens and students who served in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam.
