Farming has been an essential part of life in Tennessee’s South Cumberland since before written history.  Today, there are a number of farms, farmer’s markets and local farm product resellers who welcome you to visit and see what they do.  Plan your farm-to-table adventure here!

Badlands Horse Camp

Badlands Horse Camp has access to over 22,000 acres of trails with scenic overlooks, waterfalls, and creeks, offering day rides for this beautiful area. You must bring your own horse. For camping, there are 15 electric hookups.

The Suter Farm has been in the Suter family since 1885, part of the original settlement of the Swiss Colony of Gruetli. It retains many of the original out-buildings and the farm house which was rebuilt in 1885.

Carroll's has a variety of chickens laying beautifully colored eggs from blue and green to pink and brown, and the occasional grey, from a home flock of 12 free-range chickens that roam free alongside their mobile coop, which is moved weekly onto fresh grass.
